Call for UK apparel businesses: Buyer sentiment research on Mauritius

09/02/2026

We wanted to flag a piece of research that may be of interest to members that are currently sourcing in or looking to source from Mauritius.

Invest Africa, funded by the UK Government through UK International Development, is currently undertaking a research project exploring UK buyer sentiment towards Mauritius as an apparel sourcing destination.

The research aims to gather confidential insights from UK apparel businesses on their perceptions, experiences and what they would like to see improved when sourcing from Mauritius. Findings will be used to inform policymakers, business leaders and the wider investment community, helping to shape future trade engagement, policy direction and development support.

This type of work often feeds into funding and capacity-building initiatives within sourcing countries, which can be beneficial for businesses currently working in, or considering, Mauritius as a sourcing destination.

Participation would involve a short, confidential online interview. Members with relevant experience are encouraged to get involved.

If you’re interested in taking part, please get in touch at sustainability@ukft.org and we can share further information or make an introduction to the research team.
