For SS23
With the end of lockdowns becoming more of a reality, the studio is seeing this new-found freedom reflect in the print trends for SS23. There’s an emphasis on celebrating joyful icons and colour ways, whether it’s blossoming florals growing in a spring garden to fun food characters there’s a huge sense of playfulness. Lemon Ribbon Studio is particularly loving the update of the check, from picnic ready gingham overlaid with fruit and flowers to a perfect plaid – the trend is everywhere,
Super bold and bright abstract prints mixed in with hand drawn scribbles for a more care free and naive approach. For colour directions for SS23, the studio is embracing whimsical and wonderful pastel tones complementing playful and light hearted prints to highlight the beautiful things in life. Building on ‘Very Peri’ being colour of the year, Lemon Ribbon is loving all the shades of lilac and blue, seeing this mixed in with neutrals for a more gender neutral use.
