Biotech Innovators is a new accelerator programme from IBioIC designed to support early-stage biotechnology companies.

Eligibility
The programme is open to early-stage ventures working on biotechnology solutions. Eligible applicants must be between 12 months pre-incorporation and 24 months post-incorporation, with innovations at Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 2 to 6.
To apply, ventures must either be based in Scotland or demonstrate a clear commitment to establishing a Scottish presence and contributing to the Scottish economy.
Applicants should align with the Scottish National Plan for Industrial Biotechnology and focus on one or more of the priority technology areas, including:
- Textiles and materials – innovations that apply biotechnology to create sustainable, bio-based or circular textile solutions.
- Waste management – biotechnology approaches to reduce, recycle or repurpose waste, including industrial or textile-related waste streams.
The deadline for expressions of interest is 29 July 2025.
