01/02/2023
The UK Fashion & Textile Association is pleased to announce that a group of 40 UK men’s fashion, accessory and footwear brands will exhibit at Chicago Collective. Twice a year, the menswear show welcomes over 400 exhibitors, and visitors from the US, Canada and other parts of the world. It is currently the leading men’s event on the US market and has a growing waiting list of brands wishing to show.
Chrysalis
The UK group has been regularly featured at Chicago Men’s Collective throughout the years. To elevate the already strong British presence at the show, UKFT is undertaking a major promotion of the UK group with the support of the Department for International Trade (DIT). A broad variety of UK businesses will exhibit at Chicago Men’s Collective from the 5th to the 7th of February, including many that are proudly manufacturing in the UK: Chrysalis, Corgi, Daines & Hathaway, Gox Umbrellas, Gloverall, John Smedley, Johnstons of Elgin, Loake, Pantherella, Sanders and Sanders, and Tricker’s.
Huddersfield Fine Worsted
Textile businesses Dormeuil, Dugdale and Holland & Sherry will also exhibit at the show alongside the casualwear and accessory brands Bennett Winch, Far Afield and Peregrine UK. Meanwhile, Rapport London will be exhibiting their watch case and winder collection at the show for the first time.
The UK is a major exporter of quality menswear to the US and Canada. UKFT intends to highlight the importance of British menswear in North America by celebrating the diversity and creativity of the UK exhibitors at the show and others from its Global Brands programme. For the first time in many years, the UK group has been promoted via printed and digital ads in MR Magazine, the US’s leading menswear trade publication.

Paul Alger MBE, director of international business at UKFT said:
“The United States and Canada are the UK’s largest export markets after the EU for quality British menswear. UKFT’s presence at the show has been incredibly well received by the show organisers and MR Magazine and we are looking forward to a very successful show in Chicago”.

UKFT’s information booth and the 40 UK exhibitors will feature the UK’s GREAT branding which includes the Union Jack. On the first afternoon of the show, buyers will be able to enjoy a whisky tasting event hosted by UKFT. In addition, UKFT will show a video loop highlighting the collections of British businesses who attended Pitti Uomo, Paris Men’s Fashion Week and Chicago Collective. This will provide buyers with a broader view of the best of British menswear for AW23/24.
