New York Womens Market Week Brits in New York Exhibitors Sept 2019
Ahead of New York Women’s Market Week, UKFT puts the spotlight on UK brands showing at events around the city in September including Woman, Coterie and Cabana.
The UK group of TAP-supported brands in New York is co-ordinated by UKFT and supported by the Department of International Trade (DIT).
- HW2 at Coterie
Easy Dressing is given a new meaning with HW2 as a timeless transitional wardrobe to take you from day to evening.
There is a huge fan base for viscose easy to wear clothing formerly made popular by Ghost in the eighties.
Angie and Estelle, the duo behind the label, launched HW2 in 2013, after spending 20 years at Ghost and Handwritten.
- Brodie Cashmere at Coterie
With a passion for innovative knit design, Mother and Daughter Anne Marie and Jessica founded Brodie Cashmere in 2008 to bring a new level of creativity to timeless designs.
Brodie uses raw cashmere to create all our products. Our relationship with the farmer herders and factory in Mongolia spans over 10 years and they are just as passionate about their cashmere as we are. The factory workers are artisans of their own trade, with years of experience that craft every jumper.
Our classic-with-a-twist essence has garnered a loyal following of women around the world. Our designs are inspired by friends, family and our travels from around the world. A Brodie piece is a friend for life and we love to dress generations of families. We pride ourselves on a collection that has something for everyone.
- Tallulah & Hope at Woman
Determined to bring a new, refined modernity to resortwear former fashion PR Lisa Ispani and costume designer / stylist Zoe Holborough, launched Tallulah & Hope in May 2010. Their refusal to bow to holiday wardrobe clichés inspired them to design a collection of versatile pieces with feminine fluid silhouettes in unique, bespoke prints and embroidery designs.
The timeless bird motif representing freedom, features as a signature thread through each season’s print story. The label celebrates women at their most joyful, carefree and free-spirited; each piece designed to deliver effortlessly style and insouciant glamour whether you’re spending time in sun-soaked climes or the city.
- Evarae at Cabana
Evarae has a strong emphasis on day to evening resortwear, bikini tops can be worn with flowing palazzo pants straight off the beach into the evening.
The label responds to a need for modern and beautifully constructed swimwear with a functional core, great emphasis has been given on how each piece fits the body.
At the same time design detail has not been lost, the label has an ultra-luxe feel, pushing boundaries by quilting on top of swimwear, using metal work to create interesting lines on the body, using 100% silk mixed with traditional hand embroideries or delicate cut work on top of digital prints.
