Socially and environmentally conscious lifestyle brand Lucy & Yak – known for its colourful and joyful clothing – is excited to announce the launch of its new sub-brand, L&Y, debuting in September 2025 with small, thoughtful drops throughout the season.

UKFT member Lucy & Yak is an independent, people-focused brand, dedicated to upholding a positive environmental and social impact; showcasing that a business can and should be done differently. Their mission is to promote a way of sourcing, producing and doing business that positively impacts both people and planet. Using sustainable fabric choices, Lucy & Yak products are made using organic, natural, recycled or deadstock fabrics and are all eligible for their buyback scheme PreLoved, as part of their pledge to keep their clothing in circulation for longer. Leaders of the Comfort Movement, Lucy & Yak is known for its joyful clothing that inspires people to find comfort in their choices and themselves, whilst they walk bold new paths. Alongside the powerful engagement of its community, the little square logo (with a circular mindset) is fast becoming the future of conscious living.

The new sub-brand L&Y is designed for those who make a statement – just in a more understated way. It’s for the wearer who takes time to curate their outfits, carefully choosing pieces that work together and bring comfort. While Lucy & Yak celebrates vibrant colours and bold expression, L&Y softly turns the dial down – offering a more muted, tranquil approach to dressing, with playful silhouettes and calming tones and prints, all while maintaining the values that define Lucy & Yak – sustainability, inclusivity, ethical production, and high-quality fabrics.

L&Y is a natural extension of the brand, created to compliment Lucy & Yak’s collections by catering to a different mood and customer – those who seek more toned down pieces. The launch of L&Y means they can serve both their core community and wider customer base at the same time – continuing to offer the colourful, joyful clothing that Lucy & Yak is known and loved for, while introducing more considered styles.

“L&Y has actually always been with us, now we’re putting a label on it! Over the years we’ve been testing different prints, colours and shapes to see what our customers love and it’s become clear that we have both the customers who love the colourful dopamine dressing that Lucy & Yak is known for, and the customers who prefer our earthier colours and paired back prints. We want to be able to bring joyful clothing to both of these customers, which is why we’ve introduced L&Y – I’m so excited to see what our customers think of it!” – Lucy Greenwood, Co-Founder of Lucy & Yak. L&Y is launching slowly over the next year, with a small collection planned for AW25 and a wider offering for SS26 and beyond.
