UKFT member David Walters will showcase its latest collection at the interior textile tradeshow Proposte in Cernobbio, Italy, from 6 to 8 May 2025. The interior fabrics specialist will present an extensive range of premium furnishing fabrics.

David Walters specialises in designing and weaving high-quality furnishing fabrics for internationally renowned design houses, wholesalers, and manufacturers. The company’s seasonal collections incorporate innovative weaving techniques and are inspired by the latest design trends.
David Walters works in close collaboration with its customers, drawing inspiration from its extensive archive. The company offers a wide range of fabric constructions using a wide range of yarns to create premium fabrics for interior furnishings, preserving heritage while pioneering new designs.
“This allows us to provide consistent repeat orders with reliable lead times,” said David Walters.
Each yarn undergoes thorough testing before weaving, ensuring top quality. Fabrics are meticulously inspected by hand before packing and dispatching.”

With 10 generations of family history and 300 years of weaving innovation, the company combines artisan traditions with the latest in technology to turn creative ideas into reality. All production is woven to order and takes place at its mill in Sudbury, Suffolk.
David Walters will present its latest collection at Proposte Italy, showcasing a diverse selection of styles. Each fabric undergoes meticulous testing and hand inspection to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship.

In January, David Walters launched a new website, designed to reflect the journey of visiting the mill.
“We want to give customers a sense of what it’s like to be at the mill. Whether it’s searching through the showroom shelves for hidden treasures or walking between the looms to experience the weaving.
‘‘When visiting the mill, visitors can make themselves comfortable in the David Walters showroom and explore their vast fabric and paper archive to use as design inspiration; or you can bring your ideas to explore the possibilities.’’

The company prides itself on being a socially responsible manufacturer, dedicated to reducing its impact on the environment. The mill has recently earned the OEKO-TEX® STeP Level 3 certification and the OEKO-TEX® DETOX TO ZERO, reinforcing their commitment to sustainable production practices.
