UKFT and ScreenSkills are looking for a young, engaging fashion/maker YouTuber to participate in an exciting film project aimed at promoting creative careers to school-aged audiences. Our ideal candidate would be someone with a vibrant and unique style who can resonate with a young demographic, bringing both relatability and authenticity to the role. This is a paid opportunity for the right candidate.
We’re specifically seeking a YouTuber with:
- 2,000–20,000 subscribers and active content production on their channel (ideally more than 10,000 subscribers)
- A strong online presence as a content creator, ideally within fashion or maker sectors
There are two potential routes for casting, both outlined below for flexibility in meeting our needs.
Route 1 We are looking for a candidate with the following attributes:
- Ability to connect with a young, diverse audience; casting diversity and regional representation are key
- Technical skills to self-shoot and post-produce HD (16:9) content independently
- A unique personal brand that would enhance the film’s visual and stylistic identity
- Availability for meetings and briefings with our Production Partner
- Willingness to film on one dedicated day (anticipated for January 2025)
- Openness to collaboration and feedback during post-production
- Readiness to share personal archive materials (e.g., old photos) for inclusion in the film
Route 2 Alternatively, we could consider someone with the following attributes:
- Ability to relate to a young, diverse audience (diversity and regionality are top of mind)
- A strong YouTube presence as both an artist and a creator
- Availability for briefings and collaboration with our Production Partner’s filming team
- Openness to contribute archival materials and participate in the post-production process
Please contact news@ukft.org to nominate an individual/brand or yourself by 29 November 2024.
