The UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT) will return to Première Vision from 2-4 July 2024 and will accompany a group of 21 British textile companies with their latest collections for AW25/6. Taking place in Paris Nord Villepinte, the show is an important event in the international textile calendar for high-end fabrics and accessories, as well as textile and print designers. UKFT’s work in Paris is supported by the Worshipful Company of Clothworkers.

The show will offer a platform for international buyers to explore the UK textile sector’s tradition, innovation and creative flair.

THE UK EXHIBITORS AT PREMIÈRE VISION

This season the UK group exhibiting at Première Vision features leading UK mills, manufacturers and cloth merchants, including: Alfred Brown, British Millerain, Henry Bertrand, John Foster, Joshua Ellis, Kynoch of Scotland, Laurent Garigue, Mallalieus, Marton Mills and William Halstead. There will also be creative textile companies including Liberty Fabrics and Bella Tela, as well as print and textile design studios including Amanda Kelly, Mr Grieves, Peter Westcott, Sourced Vintage, Susanna Samson and Vintage Labels. Labelling, packaging and trims specialist Weavabel will be showing its latest collections.

UKFT’s stand, which will showcase a wide array of samples from UK firms, will be located at 6G11. Visitors can learn more about the UK textile industry and watch a new film that tells the story of great British style underpinned by tradition, quality and craftsmanship. ‘UK Fashion & Textiles: It’s what we’re made of’ brings to life the innovation, responsibility and ethical practices that lie at the heart of our ethos.

THE UK EXHIBITORS AT PREMIÈRE VISION

Find out more about some of this season’s exhibitors:

Alfred Brown, founded in 1915, are a family-owned business weaving fine worsted cloth from their mill based in Leeds. Known for British style and an eye for detail, their Merino wool and blended cloth is suitable for tailoring, jackets and coats. Alfred Brown also offers seasonal and stock-supported collections.

Bella Tela are experts in designing and manufacturing indulgent embroideries, luxurious 3D florals, artisan silk hand paints, and glistening hand-beaded embellishments. The combination of widely sourced, exciting materials, combined with classic embroidery and contemporary manufacturing techniques, results in an intricately detailed offer.

British Millerain is a Lancashire-based manufacturer of waxed cotton, fashion coatings, cotton laminates and dry finish textiles and a world leader in the manufacture of specialist textiles for Outerwear. The company has strong sustainable credentials – including organic cotton, BCI, PFC finishing, sustainable vegetable wax innovation.

John Foster is world famous for quality worsted and mohair apparel fabrics. Established in 1819, today the business continues to weave iconic British cloths in its Yorkshire mill with time-honoured skills passed down generations. Fabrics feature more than 200 years of history, heritage and tradition, in stock-supported bunches and seasonal collections.

Established in 1767, Joshua Ellis celebrates a distinguished heritage of British manufacturing with a steadfast reputation for luxury and quality. Renowned the world over for producing the finest handcrafted cashmere and woollen cloth and scarves, Joshua Ellis products are highly sought after by luxury fashion houses and exported from the company’s Yorkshire mill to over 23 countries.

“Spun from the heart, woven from the soul”: Kynoch’s Collections are creative, innovative, and rich in textile history and expertise. They reflect the unique influences that have been woven into the business over centuries. The family-owned company is delighted to see its cloth being enjoyed from international catwalks, to Sunday afternoon strolls. Kynoch is proud to bring together the heart and soul of textiles in the British Isles, from Scotland to Yorkshire.

Laurent Garigue high quality sustainable fabrics have been manufactured in Yorkshire since 1947. Supplying Haute Couture houses and leading designers worldwide, the Garigue name has been synonymous with high fashion fabrics since 1947. Laurent Garigue is extremely proud of its British heritage and most of the firm’s cloth is woven, dyed and finished in Yorkshire and Scotland.

Liberty Fabrics has been at the cutting-edge of design and decorative arts since 1875 and now forms an international wholesale business, working with retailers, brands and designers across womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and homewares. Designed by an in-house team in the heart of London, printing takes place at its mill in northern Italy, which uses both innovative digital technology and age-old techniques.

Since 1863 Mallalieus has been creating and producing beautiful woollen fabrics that are admired across the world. Based in Delph, a charming village on the border of Yorkshire and Lancashire, Mallalieus draws on the centuries-old tradition of British textile manufacturing. Independent, family-owned and fully vertical, the mill specialises in working closely with clients to develop superb woollen cloths for apparel and interiors, plus fine woollen accessories such as scarves and throws.

Marton Mills is a family-owned company established in 1931. Our textiles include a stock supported range of pure wool tartans and Shetland tweeds, as well as a range of blends which are used to create our industry leading fabrics. All woven in West Yorkshire, an area which has been world famous since the 18th century for producing high quality textiles.

Founded in 1980 in Bradford UK, now based in Leeds, Weavabel supply woven labels to brands and garment producers across the UK. Supporting over 900+ brands globally with a diverse range of branding and packaging products, Weavabel focus on innovation and product development using sustainable certified materials and practices.With offices and warehousing now in the UK, EU and Asia, Weavabel now include international brands in their ever-growing family of brand partners.

William Halstead is the British name for worsted fabrics, universally renowned as the ‘Master of Mohair’ amongst the leading fashion houses of the world, international high-class tailors and cloth merchants. William Halstead is an innovator in cloth, continuing a unique legacy as an approachable collaborator within the supply chain.
