British menswear collections shine at Paris Fashion Week (19-27 June 2024)

20/06/2024

Among the 85 British companies that UKFT will be accompanying between 19 and 27 June 2024 to Paris Fashion Week, 25 will showcase their SS25 menswear collections at various venues across the city. The majority will be showing at the trade shows MAN Paris and Welcome Edition, while others can be seen at multi-brand showrooms such as 505 Showroom, Good Place Showroom and Awaykin.

UKFT has compiled the ‘Discover British Brands in Paris’ map as part of its Global Brands campaign, to help buyers and the press locate British brands at tradeshows, showrooms and runway shows at Paris Men’s, Swimwear and Women’s Pre-collections Fashion Week. The map is available for download through the link below:

This season, most British brands and designers exhibiting in Paris will present their Spring-Summer 2025 collections. British heritage, craft, creativity and quality will be key focus points amongst their diverse lines. British brands are especially sought after by international buyers for their ability to combine British quality and heritage with a contemporary approach to style. “I am confident that the group’s contemporary outlook and quintessentially British approach to style will appeal to buyers from major international retailers as well as established and independent department stores who are looking for something different,” commented Paul Alger, UKFT’s Director of International Business.

Recently granted a Royal Warrant by His Majesty the King, Scottish knitwear brand Johnstons of Elgin will be showcasing its SS25 collection ‘Shape & Light’ at its permanent showroom at 31 Bd de la Tour Maubourg (75007).

“As the name suggests, our Spring/Summer ‘25 collection – Shape & Light – seeks inspiration from the lights that dance after dark, better known as Aurora Borealis or The Northern Lights. Silhouettes, however, boast an architectural mood – taking shape from the clean lines and purposeful bends found in modern architecture to bring an urban slant to our vast landscapes. This is translated through contrasting darker shades, in superlight jersey weights and open-lace stitches, as well as innovative pleated rib structures and graphic stripes.” – Johnstons of Elgin

British Shoemaker Trickers was also awarded a Royal Warrant by His Majesty the King: “Needless to say, we are all hugely delighted, and this is a fantastic honour for the company in our 195th year. It really does mean the customer will appreciate the fact that the standards needed to obtain the warrant are there and therefore it is a seal of assurance and quality for the consumer.”

Trickers will be exhibiting at 505 Showroom at 114 Rue de Turenne (75003) alongside British Brands Service Works and Universal Works.

British footwear brand Sanders will present three of its classics with a twist at Welcome Edition: “This season, we’re excited to introduce a fresh twist to three of our beloved classics with the all-new mocha reverse suede colourway. Our Edwin loafer, Jacob plain Gibson and Marvin chukka boot will be available in this rich, versatile shade, perfect for elevating your spring and summer wardrobe. Each shoe is meticulously crafted to ensure maximum comfort and style, featuring unlined construction for breathability and a single crepe sole for lightweight wear.”

Welcome Edition features the largest group of British menswear brands exhibiting at Paris Fashion Week this season, including Baracuta, Barbour, Drake’s of London, Elliker, Far Afield, Futsol, Goral, Henri Lloyd, Kestin, Nigel Cabourn, Peregrine, Purple Mountain Observatory and Wax London.

MAN Paris comes in with the second largest group of British menswear brands in Paris including Good News, Impossible Objects, Manors Golf, Standardtypes, Torsa and Leathersmith of London.

UK luxury leather stationery and accessories brand Leathersmith of London commented: “Leathersmith of London is unveiling the SS25 men’s ready to wear collection. A sophisticated, dynamic collection comprising shirts, knitwear, sportswear, outerwear, exquisite leather goods and accessories presented alongside beautiful diaries, notebooks and journals.”
