The UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT) has announced that it will accompany 50 UK brands to the June 2024 edition of Pitti Uomo in Florence (Italy), where the UK expects to be the third largest international group after the host country. Renowned globally for being the largest menswear show of its kind, Pitti Uomo celebrates sartorial excellence, craftsmanship and heritage fashion. The show is a key platform for the UK menswear industry and British manufacturing heritage is at the heart of many brands exhibiting in Florence. Ahead of the show, UKFT is launching a film to unveil the essence of British menswear and the wider UK fashion and textile industry.
‘UK Fashion & Textiles: It’s what we’re made of’ tells the story of great British style underpinned by tradition, quality and craftsmanship. The short film will be played on the UKFT stand at the event. It brings to life the innovation, responsibility and ethical practices that lie at the heart of our ethos. It weaves a narrative of sustainable fashion that stands the test of time from the sartorial elegance of Savile Row – the home of the suit – to up and coming contemporary menswear.

At Pitti Uomo this season, UKFT invites buyers, press and supporters to embrace the iconic and contemporary, celebrate emerging talents and those championing slow fashion, blending Savile Row tailoring with street style influences, subcultures and a rebellious spirit. The UK’s collections are eclectic, elegant, disruptive and eccentric – a manifestation of avant-garde individualism.
