The UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT) is hosting a series of webinars on sustainability topics, as part of its Sustainability 101 series. This is part of UKFT’s goal to simplify the journey towards sustainability and help companies make the right choices by providing unbiased, industry-specific guidance.
We are pleased to announce that Julia del Valle and Andrea Schill from The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) will be speaking at the fifth episode of the webinar series ‘Understanding Responsible Supply Chains in Fashion & Textile’ on 30 April 2024.
They will be discussing the OECD’s approach to Responsible Business Conduct and Due Diligence for Garment and Footwear Manufacturers. The OECD guidance is highly influential and gaining great traction within the fashion industry, underpinning many policy initiatives, standards and legislations addressing both human rights and environmental due diligence internationally.
This webinar will cover:
Introduction to OECD Standards on Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) and evolving RBC policy environment
Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear sector: Presentation of the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains in the Garment and Footwear Sector
