Applications for Innovate UK’s Creative Catalyst funding open on 23 January 2024. UK registered micro and small businesses can apply to receive up to £50k to support their innovation projects. Scroll down to find out more.
The Creative Catalyst is a programme ran by Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), that aims to scale up and accelerate innovation within the creative industries. The £30 million programme offers funding and a range of non-financial support to grow the innovation projects of micro and small businesses involved in the creative industries, including the following subsectors:
Advertising and marketing; Architecture; Arts and culture; Broadcasting; Crafts; Design, Fashion; Film; Games; Music; Publishing.
Applications for the Creative Catalyst 2024 will open on 23 January. The deadline for entries is 6 March 2024.
Who can apply?
UK registered micro and small businesses that have never received funding from Innovate UK can apply to the programme. They must be from or support the creative industries, have demonstrable ambition for growth and operations or a project team based in the UK.
Eligible projects must have total costs and a grant funding request of up to £50k. They must start between 1 August 2024 and 1 October 2024, and end by 31 March 2025. The projects must last between 3 and 6 months.
Project proposals
The project proposal must have an innovation that directly benefits the creative industries sector and the wider UK economy. It must focus on a clear opportunity and on the proposed innovation that addresses it. The proposal must demonstrate how funding and support can impact the growth of the applicant’s business within the next 12 months.
