What’s new for British brands at Pitti Uomo for AW24/5

08/01/2024

Leading British brands are set to unveil their AW24/5 collections at Pitti Uomo this January in Florence, showcasing a blend of innovation, sustainability and timeless craftsmanship. From luxurious textiles to groundbreaking initiatives, the upcoming season promises a diverse range of offerings which will attract the attention of discerning menswear buyers around the world.

Pantherella is launching the Hadley range for AW24, a sumptuous blend of cotton, cashmere and silk and features the iconic Pantherella ‘P’ embroidery. In the Classic collection, Flemming at first appears to be a simple plain knit sock, however, turning the comfort cuff back reveals a striking band of colourful stripes. New Vintage style Beckford takes its colour and design influence from 1970’s patterning interpretations of the Golden Era and celebrates Pantherella’s rich and extensive archive.

Scott Nichol’s seasonal collection boasts a mixture of cosy wool blended fair isle patterns and cable knits across its relaunched men’s and women’s ranges. Sporting stripes and argyles are fresh yet still incorporating the SN heritage. The new Scott Nichol crest embroidery is proudly featured across organic cotton and wool blended styles. The brand has redeveloped its packaging to use a kraft quality card that is fully recyclable. The yarns used for this season are all a mix of natural and sustainable fibres, spanning organic cottons, merino wools and silk wool blends.

Channel Jumper is launching a lighter version of the Guernsey and an extra soft casual sweater, which applies the brand’s traditional techniques and quality of wool.

For the upcoming AW24 season, Crockett and Jones is expanding its collection of smart casual shoes and boots. Given the evolving way in which people are dressing, the footwear brand said it is increasingly seeing a demand for versatile styles that can be worn for both work and personal attire. This means more boots, more rubber soles and some new lasts inspired by the latest trends.

Elizabeth Parker’s Quiet Luxury Collection draws upon the impact that subtle uniqueness has on formal accessorising. “We strive to provide style conscious gentlemen with luxury accessories that quietly accompany them through every moment in life. This collection features quiet detailing that enhances the finishes and impact of the designs,” said the brand.

Kirk & Kirk said it is introducing the world’s first handmade acrylic sunglass collection. Acrylic has many benefits, but the most important is that it is incredibly light and comfortable to wear. This means that you can get a chunky, voluminous look without the weight. Secondly, the company creates its own materials so the collection is unique.
