KBN Knitwear is a London-based creative studio that develops and produces knitwear for brands and designers. It offers a wide range of bespoke services, spanning technical consulting, creative sampling and production. Khanh Brice Nguyen, Founder and Creative Director of KBN Knitwear, said:

“Our mission is to make knitwear development and manufacturing accessible to both independent and established brands, with a focus on purposeful and eco-conscious designs. We proudly prototype all garments in our London unit, by our team of skilled craftspeople.” 

Khanh founded KBN Knitwear to bridge the gap between design and manufacturing.

During his first collaborations with designers to develop their knitwear collections, bringing them into production was challenging as manufacturers are not easily accessible to independent brands. He then decided to create a studio where fashion designers could dialogue with garment developers and work together to bring to life impactful knitwear products.

KBN Knitwear offers flexible production solutions. Small orders are produced in its studio in London, while larger orders are produced in European factories.

The menswear label Scott Fraser Collection said: “I always feel in safe hands when I work with KBN. They’re on my side and are always trying to offer ways to help create what we want. KBN helps take any of the mystique out of the process and never assumes I know every technique going. It’s a collaborative process.”

Storytelling represents an important part of KBN Knitwear’s collaborations with brands and designers. Khanh said: “A memorable brand comes with memorable knits. We will collaborate to translate your ideas into recognisable, signature items integral to your brand image.”

“KBN Knitwear understood the essence of my brand and provided insights to make complex pieces viable for production, while keeping the signature aspects of my designs,” said the London-based knitwear brand Raquel de Carvalho.

The Paris-based designer Steven Passaro also explained: “For our FW23 collection, KBN developed a beautiful jacquard jumper with extremely well finished details. We sent them a sketch with our pattern and we were able to have the final sample very quickly, impressing us with their craftsmanship.”
