Paul Alger, Director of International Business at UKFT, said:
“This positive and interesting group of British womenswear designers at Paris Fashion Week is a sign that UK companies are willing to invest in tradeshows and showrooms to reach their international wholesale buyers. Many have followed our advice and are offering ‘Delivered at Place’ (Incoterms: DAP) prices to enable EU customers to offset the additional burden of Import VAT. Those doing so have told us that this reassures new and existing buyers when they buy from the UK”.
To help buyers and the press to locate UK businesses at Paris Fashion Week, UKFT has created the Brits in Paris Map with the support of the Department for International Trade. In addition to promoting the UK group via online and digital means, UKFT will follow the brands during the show, using the hashtag #BritsinParis.
