The Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation is offering grants for cultural and educational activities that promote good relations between the UK and Japan, encompassing fashion and textiles.

The funding can be used for research into the use of Japanese textiles for impactful and innovative projects; artistic exhibitions; researching Japanese fashion culture; collaborative exhibitions of textile work between UK and Japanese textile artists; technical uses and textile techniques and similar ventures.

It cannot be used for funding for travel or costs associated with commercial ventures such as tradeshows. The next deadline for applications to the London office is 15 September 2022.
