19/08/2021
Founded in 1863 Mallalieus is nestled in the village of Delph in the heart of the Pennine hills. Mallalieus is one of the last remaining fully vertical woollen mills in Great Britain. From raw fibre to finished fabric: all the manufacturing takes place on one site ensuring a low carbon footprint.
Mallalieus are synonymous with the highest quality woollens, from fine flannels and Shetlands to lambswools, rustic British wools and specialist coatings. Renowned for their beautiful melange yarns and colourful tweeds and checks, Mallalieus offer a bespoke design service alongside their seasonal collections and stock supported ranges. Working with the world’s most prestigious design houses and brands they create apparel fabrics, furnishing fabrics and accessories.
Inspired by the surrounding natural landscape, the emphasis this season is very much on eco responsibility and sustainability. Their British wool and new undyed wools meet all of these credentials. To complement the more rustic looks Mallalieus are also offering refined flannels in muted shades and an array of colour-woven and piece-dyed speciality coating fabrics.
