Best of British Apparel Textiles: County Brook
07/03/2021
Heritage runs deep at County Brook Mill where the talented creative team design and weave enduring ‘artisan’ apparel fabrics.
The mill lies on the county brook, dividing wool-rich Yorkshire and the cotton industry of Lancashire, and thus weaves an extensive variety of natural sustainable fibres and yarns. With their traditional values, yet modern thinking and flexibility in loom, County Brook Mill excel in pushing boundaries in both cotton and in wool weave structures and colourations. Their brushing and emerising facility produces luxurious ‘soft touch’ finishes.
Pictured are a selection of County Brook’s lambswool jacketings, some canvas and gabardine folds, plus examples of their fabrics for coats and outerwear.
