ishga was born from a passion for beauty, science and seaweed. Malcolm a scientist, his wife Joanna, a beauty therapist and Martin, a seaweed expert, set out together to create results driven organic skincare, harnessing the natural skin antioxidants, healing, and anti-ageing properties of pure, Scottish seaweed.

Malcolm created ishga’s Hebridean Seaweed extract, which is the cornerstone of the science behind its natural organic skincare. This mineral rich extract is blended with organic ingredients and beautiful essential oils to create the brand’s award-winning products.

ishga’s Anti-oxidant Marine Face Cream was the first product to be developed through collaboration between the brand’s laboratory on Lewis and its first spa partner, Blythswood Square, in Glasgow. Leon Trayling, spa director at Blythswood Square, and co-founder of ishga, has since helped test every product with a team of expert therapists.

The brand is currently sold around the world to luxury spas and resorts including St Andrews in Scotland, St Michaels Hotel in Cornwall and the Berkeley Hotel Spa in London. All products are Soil Association registered.
