3D body scanning and bespoke garment production event in Manchester: 9 July 2026

Fashion businesses interested in digital product development, fit technology and more sustainable, on-demand local manufacturing are invited to attend the upcoming 3D Body Scanning & Bespoke Garment Production: Industry Engagement Event hosted by the Apparel Design Engineering (ADE) group at The University of Manchester.
Taking place on 9 July 2026 in Manchester, the event is designed for industry professionals looking to explore how body scanning technology and engineered garment production can support more efficient and responsive manufacturing processes.
During the day, participants will gain insight into the body scan-to-product pipeline, including how body scanning data can be used to engineer garment patterns for improved fit and reduced overproduction. The event will also explore the role digital technologies can play in addressing sustainability challenges within UK apparel manufacturing.
The session is supported by Digital Futures and is limited to 30 participants.
The day is open to 30 participants, with a desire to engage with a broad spread of different companies, especially SMEs. Sign up if you are a professional working in or with:
